How to Use Your Intuitive Leadership Style
You've got a natural style, here's how to develop it

In some people this emerges at an early age and through their life experiences they develop that ability. You can see many examples of famous people who developed their natural leadership abilities in the picture to the right.
Other people are somewhat anxious about their leadership ability and never exercise it in case it gets them into situations they feel they cannot manage.
The key to success in developing your natural leadership style is to practice in non-threatening environments, like in family situations or small clubs or on holiday with just a few friends. You might try organising a small event or an outing. Start small, behave with modesty and courtesy, tell people what you want them to do clearly and watch what happens.
You will find when you analyse what happens that certain strengths and weaknesses emerge. Don't worry. Start to study how you might polish the strengths and overcome the weaknesses. It is important to focus on the strengths first and build them up so that you increase your confidence.
Then study your weaknesses. Watch other leaders to see what they do and how they behave when confronted by the type of issues that expose your weaknesses. Think about what they do and then think how you might do something similar. When a suitable occasion arises implement your new behaviour and watch what happens.
This is the way we learn, by trial and error. Don't be afraid to make mistakes; regard them as learning experiences and resolve to do better next time.
If you want to be a leader then you have to behave like a leader. Sometimes it requires courage, so resolve that you will behave courageously and learn from your experiences.
